Lylli and Lare
Happy Birthday JY!!
Today is JY's birthday, yippee :) He didn't want a card or any kind of present (gee, not sure why since he's kinda raked it in this week) so I felt kinda bad that I followed his wishes. I went ahead and sent him an ecard (free), just to ease my mind. You can view it here because it's damn funny. Don't worry, it's not anything kinky or embarrassing ;)
Anyway, Happy Birthday JY, we all love you (well, most of the time :)
L
Update: We took JY out for his birthday tonight (mom and dad came with us) and I shot this really sh*tty video on my phone (where was the purse camera Lesa, huh??) as the resturant sang Happy Birthday to JY. Awe, he is loved.....it was a pretty hot performance in person, guess you had to be there to fully appreciate the hip action ;)

Where do you start???
So, in the past week I've been bored to death, overwhelmed and in pain. You've witnessed the bored to death videos that I posted of mom and dad (aka Speedy :) which I'd like to add were funny as sh*t!! Mom immediately asked me to remove the one of her, I'm all, NO WAY the video stays :)
Overwhelmed because JY's car broke (I don't know what's wrong with it, it's broke) so he's been driving my car (yes the gas hog Jeep) to Ames everyday....did you know that it costs $25/day for him to drive to and from Ames from St. Charles, you got a little sick didn't you?? Yeah, me too!! And I've been driving mom's car to work every day (thanks mom, your a life saver!!). So, the solution to that was JY needed a new car and so JY got a new car. Maybe sometime soon I'll post a picture up of his super snazzy new car.
And in pain because of a killer head ache that I can't seem to get rid of, oh and buying JY a new car :)
Saturday was spent at the VET (again) taking the 2 yahoos for their last shots(yippee). Puppy update - Lare 8lbs and Lylli 4.5lbs. I also worked a 2 1/2 hour shift at the church Harvest Supper. Then to the Richardson's to watch the Cyclones get beat :( I still had my killer head ache so immediately after the game I went home and went to bed - well after my parent's came over to make sure I didn't think I needed to go to the hospital - my head wasn't going to explode although it felt like it, just not right then :) It's nice to feel loved :)
Sunday, I don't remember what we did on Sunday, must not have been too exciting :) I do remember staying up until 1a doing laundry - because I think I spent the day on the couch :)
Monday night after work I spent time with Beau, Brayden, Sophia, Sabryn and my kids and mom and dad. Poor Bryny with her pink cast. Emily and Allyson took turns driving her around on the golf cart :)
So, see, I'm still boring the hell out of you. I promise, something fun and exciting will happen and you'll hear it here first :)
Luv to you all!!

This is exciting....
If you've read my previous blog you'll know that things have been pretty boring around my house this past week. So, being bored and not doing anything at all (by this I mean I was sitting on my butt reading and smoking and drinking pop - and your asking yourself, what's so different about that??) I decided to make a couple of movies of a couple of my favorite people (without their knowledge) who WERE NOT sitting on their butts ;) Enjoy because they are damn funny :)

Toe update and other random thoughts...
So, a week and a half later and the toe looks stupid. Anyone who knows me knows that in the summer or anytime one can wear sandals in lieu of socks and shoes, I'm doing it and that requires pretty toes to wear the open toed shoes....My toes are not pretty now, bummer for me! I try to explain this to JY (who makes fun of the ugly toe, which we'll refer to as UT) he laughs at me so I try to explain it to him in terms he'll understand.....It's like your car, once you find a door ding or you have a rather large imperfection on your car, you know it's there and you HATE it - it's like that with the UT, do you understand??? JY doesn't, he just says I have a UT (no, not UTI, UT see above). Boys are so stupid. Neosporin is the best thing ever invented, my opinion, just had to throw that in there you know my kind of commercial or something.
Not much going on around the Y's house this week. The girls both were gone on Friday night at friend's houses so JY and I, having the joint to ourselves went grocery shopping for the big CY-Hawk game on Saturday. I think I was on the couch by 1030p snoozing away. Nice night without the children :) Saturday we got together with the Richardson's to watch the Cyclone's go against the Hawks - The Richardson's and I were sporting the ISU gear while JY was sporting the U of I gear and pointed out that if the Hawks won he was going to ram it down our throats like we 'supposedly' did to him last year. Who, us?? I don't think so mister. Well as you all know, the Clones lost and I owe my boss a beer....We spent the entire day with the Richardson's not leaving until 1230a that night :)
Sunday I couldn't wake the children up from the dead to go to Sunday School, so I'm a bad mom and let them sleep in instead. Allyson proceeded to dump an entire bowl of Spaghetti o's on my living room floor. Mom, Julie, BFF, her mom and I went to the movie - The Women. What a great movie that was. Total chick flick, highly recommended by all of us that you see it!! While there we saw a whole host of other movies we want to see and plan on doing just that, a little girl day once in a while keeps ya sane :)
That's it, pretty lame huh?? No one lost a toe nail, no one had a birthday, no one broke their leg since the last time I wrote so somethings bound to happen soon....Have a great week!!
Luv ya,
L

Poor little Bryn-tastic...
So, the little peanut fell of the monkey bars and broke her leg...Here are a few pictures of her before the cast, at lunch after the cast and then basking in the glory of being the 'sick' one with her sister. The girls and I delivered a wheel chair for her to use for school (thanks to Darcy Hutchison) because the crutches she has are going to be a lot of work (not to mention how tiny they are). We all got to sign her cast with hearts and smiley faces. I will say one thing, no matter the drama from this little queen, she is one tough cookie!! Get well soon Bryny, Aunt Lesa loves you!!

And if you look close enough, you can see the shiner on her right eye that she picked up in the creek over Labor day weekend. This kid's a wreck :) But we love every inch of this little tornado!!

Happy Birthday Brayden!! Aunt Lesa loves you!!
My nephew Brady (he doesn't like to be called that anymore) turns 9 today!! So in honor of that, check this out. Love you buddy!!

How I spent my weekend by LY
Hi all!! Wow, we had a busy weekend!! Friday night was spent with Julie and the kids in DSM getting pedi's, birthday presents and shower presents then JY and I played a couple of games of cards at mom and dad's. Saturday morning I took part in a shower of sorts for my good friend Brian and his wife Alesia to welcome their new little boy Cody (thanks mom for making the 4 dozen waffle cookies for me!!). Saturday afternoon was spent at a purse party (that was just trouble waiting to happen) at the Rankin's and home in bed by 1030p. Sunday dawned bright and early for the girls to get to Sunday School on time, then I conned JY into a trip to DSM for groceries with a promise of lunch!!
Sunday evening, our presence was requested at a birthday party for my (soon to be 9 years old tomorrow) nephew Brayden. Before leaving to hit the party, I needed to find my can coozie - it was important!! So, flip flops on I headed out to the car, in the garage. I can't even explain to you what happened next only the result...I successfully rid myself of 3/4 of my big toe nail (pictures below if you can stand it). Snapped clean off. So, I hobble back into the house screaming for JY, shaking like I never have only for him to start freaking out that he's gonna throw up or something and I'm all, GET ME SOMETHING, NOW!! So, he wets a wash cloth down and "gently" lays it across my toe. YOWZA...not cool. So, Emily has to run over to Granny's house to get peroxide (I mean, who has that just laying around??) JY hunts up some gauze and tape and we tape the sucker up and I pop some good 800mg ibuprofen and I need a smoke, like RIGHT NOW!! I made it to the bday party, because I'm not going to let a little thing like a mostly missing toe nail get me down, and end up hobbling around and kicking a football in my path and almost passing out (again) from the pain and we call it a night!! I mean, who has that much excitement in one day?? So, because I've done this to myself, the weather has decided that since the ONLY shoe I can wear is a flip flop it's only gonna get into the 50's for a while, perfect!! And p/s, the girls went looking for my snapped off toe nail and found it right where I left it, in the lip of the door leading to the garage. Just simmer on that picture for a second....yeah, I know, neato!!
I hope everyone had a super weekend like I did!! Fun times!!
Luv to you all,
L

Is it really Wednesday already??
My how time flies when your...um, having fun :) So much has happened this past weekend that I know I won't remember any of it!! In preparation of the Labor Day weekend, dad, mom and Jeff cut wood in anticipation of several fires in the back yard. Because of all the rain this summer we've had only a handful of fires to sit around, so we were going to make up for lost time. And since I don't do well with manual labor (like you didn't see that coming), my job was to sit on the golf cart and smoke cigs to keep the mosquitoes away (no joke). That and to provide moral support for the peeps lugging the logs to the lawn mower to be hauled off. I might be the coolest person I know.
So wood cut the weekend could begin. Friday night was low key with a fire and calling it an early night. Saturday morning the yahoo's (Lylli and Lare) had an appointment for shots, $83 later we're good for a month. A little shopping some fishing gear, more wood cutting, fishing in the evening and another fire sitting session on Saturday night we called it early again. Sunday, we slept in a little and the boys (dad, Jeff and Travis) went golfing while the girls (Julie, mom, Tana and I) stayed back to watch the kids swim and complete a scavenger hunt. The boys home and it's dinner on the grill (to include the fish we caught the evening before) and yet another fire. Monday was the day of rest and we didn't do ANYTHING and this includes not doing the laundry or cleaning the house, yippee!!
Tuesday it's back to work. Today I sprung the girls early from school and Allyson got 2 warts frozen off of her foot only to have to return in 30 days to do it all again - with wrapping her warts w/ Vaseline and duct tape in between.
Gymnastics started tonight with me thinking and so it begins the whole night. Tomorrow is more gymnastics!! This year, Emily is going to Jr Coach!! This is a huge thing for her, not only for her self esteem, it's a big help to my wallet :) She's very excited to be doing it although it's a huge chunk of homework time but she says she can handle it. I haven't seen anything she hasn't been able to handle yet!! She will be assisting the class that her 2 cousins are in which makes it even more exciting :)
I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel, I need to get a head start on Basketball that's right around the corner and by god I'm going to be ready for it this year. You'd think the 3 year it would get easier and more organized, whatever!!
Think of me :)
