Labor Day weekend 2009

Geez, who can believe that it's Labor Day weekend already?? Well, it is and that's just crazy! The girls and I had a busy weekend planned and I think we did alright for ourselves :)

Friday night we started with a little football. In the final minutes of the 3rd quarter, one of our football boys was hit out on the field, stumbled off the field with his helmet off fell and hit his head on the sideline bench. This resulted in the game being put on hold while the Truro rescue did their thing and Life Flight was called. As far as I know, Caleb is doing ok. Please keep his family in your prayers.

After the game a quick stop at Tina's house to chit chat, left a kid and picked a 'kid' up, Allyson and I went to the Cumming's where my 4 wheeler was waiting to get dirty!! And dirty we got. My passenger complained the entire time about how I loved the throttle a little too much and didn't know a thing about using brakes, what are those?? Just because he almost fell off a couple of times only proves that he wasn't holding on with both hands :) The 4 wheeler got muddy and I loved every minute of it....who cares that I had on a hat, 2 sweatshirts, a puffy vest (orange btw) and gloves :)

Saturday morning, after driving all over Madison county picking up the girls in their various locations, we went and picked out carpet. I am so excited about all of the home improvements going on!! I am NOT, however, excited about painting. My offer still stands, I'll by the beer for whoever wants to come and paint :) Just know, I don't paint so I'll just stand back and watch while you do all the work :) I'm kinda good at that. Saturday night was a party at John and Tina's. Good times, good times is all I have to say about that.

Sunday, I went to the visitation for Fred Smith with Shana and Tod....that was tough. Brad, with his 5 names, is one of my best boy friends from my childhood. He was my rock a couple of months ago and I am trying so hard to be that for him and I'm falling way short. I told him last night that I couldn't force myself to the funeral, I can't step in to that church and not remember being there and for the reasons I was there 8 months ago. I luv ya brother, you are my heart.

Sunday night it was back out to Cumming's for some more 4 wheeler fun, a change in passengers but just as much fun except that there wasn't as much mud as there was Friday night. Oh well, we still had some good fun.

Today the theme is L-A-Z-Y and I love it. I wore myself out this weekend trying to have as much fun as I could without having to think about what we were doing last year for Labor Day weekend when JY was with us.

I hope everyone had a great 3 day weekend - have a good week and thanks for checking in.
