Where did the weekend go??

Friday night we had our last gymnastics Exhibition Team performance during the 1/2 time of the Clarke (Osceola) boys basketball game. They did a wonderful job, but am I glad they are done with that business.

Saturday we had to drive what seemed like a million miles/hours to Panora where we were scheduled to play basketball. **SIDEBAR - my WBF Jodi, whom I've referred to as JL in previous posts and also my wingman, drives from Panora to DSM EVERY day...I told her that if I had that drive, I'd smoke a pack of cigs to and from work everyday!! She's crazy!!** Anyway, it was a good day on the court as both girls won their games. Both made a basket, altho Ally's didn't count, bummer. JY would have been proud of how they played :) I know I was. They have quite the cheering section as well. Grandma Deb, Grandpa Bruce, Papa Tom, Judy and Granny were there screamin' loud!! JL and her son Critterpher were also in attendance, thanks for coming guys!!

Since we were in the neighborhood, we stopped to see Sasha and family on our way home. It was a short visit but nice to see them and to finally see their pad after they've lived there for 5 years :) We'll be back up in a couple of weeks to play ball in Stuart so look for us!!

We stopped by the JC Mall as well, it seemed like we were NEVER gonna get home. Emily had been begging for a new phone for her birthday (Feb 20th) so we stopped at my favorite place, Verizon. Yeah, I hate that place but we all got hooked up with new phones!! Emily got her birthday present EARLY, I got a new phone to manage my new crazy busy single mother life and Allyson got my old phone. Everyone is happy!! Well, except me who had to pay the bill :)

Today, Allyson went to a friend's house for the day and Emily and I were bored...so we hopped in the car and drove to Williamsburg. While there we met up with one of JY's buddies that lives in CR, Mike. It was great to see him and we met his kids. Thanks for driving over to see us!!

Now it's 835p and I'm exhausted and hoping to sleep well tonight, if I ever get the laundry done ;) Weekends without J are the worst...it's too much time to think about what we would be doing and who we'd be doing it with. I think of all the times I accused J of not pulling his weight around the house and now without him I want to take back every single thing I said about it, because he did more than I realized now that I'm the only one doing it all. Last night my Internet wasn't working and I'm all, what the hell?? Who the hell is gonna fix my Internet? I'm not the nerd JY was...geez. So I sat at my desk thinking...huh, what the hell... Then I realized that the damn router was unplugged. I'm a genius....yeah, ok so I'm not, but I was telling myself that as I was patting myself on the back last night!! I think 'someone' whispered in my ear because I would have NEVER figured that out...jus' sayin'.

Anyway, have a good week. Thanks for checking in.

I think you are on the right track, Little Miss Sassafras. Family. Family and friends are the ticket to help you through this. You had family at the game and visited friends after. You have your loving sister, JY's sis . . . and your Ma and Daddy at home. These are the folks that are going to be there for you every day. In the trenches, so to speak. These are the folks that are going to see you through. You are blessed in the family and friend division.

oh, and me. I’m going me here.

Lesa, I sure do love your ol' Aunt Deb. I know you do too. But when we see her, we are goin tease the living daylights out of her about something; anything. Just for fun. Just to keep in practice.
