Goodness...

The weekend started with the girls going to Aunt Holly's on Friday night to begin they're little trip to MN for the weekend. They had a FANTASTIC time, didn't miss me one bit, didn't take any pictures eventho I sent the WATER camera with them, and came home Sunday night exhausted. Thanks to Deb, Holly and Heather for keeping an eye on them for me :)

While the girls were gone, I made good use of my last weekend before heading back to work ;) Friday night I went with a bunch of peeps to the ISF for East Side night. Boy, was that a hot mess!! Saturday night, Bobby D was free so we hung out in various places and talked until 5a. Sunday, I lounged on the couch all day long getting updates from the girls on where they were on the trip home and when they thought they would be home. Man I missed the heck outta them!!

Monday morning dawned bright and early for all of us as we were up and running at 530a, a time we haven't seen too much of in the last 6 wks. My first day back was good, it was good to be back to a routine...but I missed the girls terribly. I left the office telling everyone that I was calling in sick Tuesday...and I jinx'd myself bad. I got to the office and at 8a I called my dr for an appointment, was diagnosed with a nasty case of bronchitis and he sent me away with a crap ton of high dosed drugs and home for 2 days. Pretty neat huh?? My first week back and I miss 2 days. That's awesome!!

Not only did I go back to work this week, some REAL work was started on my house!! Monday 7 of my 10 windows were replaced and a new pantry cabinet was set in the kitchen. Tuesday, the last 3 windows were replaced, a few drywall patches were made, and a couple doors were fixed. Today, WOW, a new counter top was set in the kitchen along with a new sink (see pics below). I'm in heaven and now have so many ideas and things I need to make the house more perfect, I can hardly wait....which btw, who wants to paint and help haul and move things for me??

Back to work tomorrow, boo. I'm feeling a million times better than I did on Tuesday so bonus!! Tomorrow night we have school open house from 7p-8p and before that we have a parent picnic from 5-7 because Ally was asked to mentor a new student. Then Friday, it's back to school for the Chiclets....they are totally dreading this!! I think it's great!

Anyway, thanks for checking in....never a dull moment in this house.
