Twenty-five days...part 6

Whew, it's getting little tougher to pick the next precious memory.

September 6, 2010 - memory 6

L - As I might have mentioned in the previous memory post that E was conceived 'south of the border' but we didn't find out until maybe the end of July. J and I had been married for 3 years when we found out I was pregnant. For 3 long years we tried to get pregnant and failed. We had gone to great measures including testing for both of us and performing when my temperature was just right, TMI right? So when we found out, well, when I found out I didn't believe it. I mean, I'd been peeing on sticks for so long that when the stick FINALLY told me I was pregnant, I did it 3 more times just to be sure before telling J. I could hardly wait to tell him...waiting for him to get home from work was just about to kill me that when he walked in the door I blurted it out, just laid it all right there on the table. I'm pretty sure I shocked him good. How do I know I shocked him good, you ask...well, even after many years of us trying and failing he should have been overcome with emotion. Instead what I got was, oh good, what's for dinner? And I'm all, did you hear what I said? And he's all, yeah, we're having a baby....wait for it....OMG, WE'RE HAVING A BABY? Are you sure, when, are you ok? There, that's the response I was looking for :) He came to EVERY baby appointment with me, every one, didn't miss a beat. When he heard the baby's heartbeat it all became very real for him. And then he recorded a nascar race over the ultrasound....typical J....

E - I remember when we had Easter egg hunts at Granma Deba's house dad would always hide my eggs in REALLY hard spots. (m) You always found them right, even when he put them really high? (e) Yea, he even found a couple for me when I couldn't find them. (m) I know he did.

A - Remember when the little bathroom was broken, you would be doing your hair to get ready for going somewhere and dad would be going to the bathroom while you were in there and me and E would come in too and we would all be in the bathroom at the same time. (m) Made your dad mad, didn't it? (a) Yeah, we did it to tease him. (m) Yeah, I know you did.
