Twenty-five days....part two

Wow, this is a little harder than I thought it would be. I've been thinking all day long about the next memory I would put down on paper and was assaulted with so many, it was hard picking just one.

Sept 2, 2010 - Memory #2

L - I remember the precise moment when J asked me to marry him. He didn't actually ASK me to marry him, I'm pretty sure I nagged him in to saying yes, I'll marry you. However it happened the next day he presented me with the tiniest diamond engagement ring I've ever seen, I was the happiest person on earth because of it and I kept on being the happiest person on earth wearing that ring for the next 7 years, until I nagged J into a much bigger diamond ring, which he reluctantly agreed to. He picked my first ring out all by himself, which meant to me that size didn't matter. Of course I said "Of course I'll be your wife!!" And so it was, 10 months later on October 1, 1994 we were married. My mother planned the entire affair only asking me what colors I wanted and making 3 bridesmaid dresses, leaving J and I to enjoy and prepare for the big event. We were happily, and sometimes unhappily, married for 14 years, 89 days and 12 hours (give or take a few hours/minutes).

E - I remember when dad used to make us cheesy potato soup after gymnastics every week. (m) Yum, that was good huh? (E) That was the best.

A - I remember sitting on the couch watching football with dad all day on Sunday's. (m) Really, you did that? I don't remember you doing that. (A) I'm going to play football when I get older. (m) No, no you aren't....ever.

Thanks for checking in.....

L
