The BEST day ever!!

Ok, so I lied and sucked you all in to the LONGEST day ever - you're welcome :) It's Saturday, right?? Do I get to sleep in, um NO. Up at 645a, wake up the girls, in the shower (kids too, shower too small) and done in record time. Today we have our first (of many) gymnastics meets, yippee!! I'm rushing around, the girls are rushing around and what's JY doing?? SLEEPING!! The nerve! Well, I'm gonna put a stop to that f'ery!! JY, I'm leaving this house with or without you at 8am. From the bedroom, I'm up - yeah right. Fancy hair do's done, the girls not me :) and we are out the door without JY at 801a. We are in Winterset at 820a and Allyson is first to compete on Double-mini trampoline at 9a. So, Allyson is called for warm ups at 1030a - yep the F'rs running this meet are already behind and I realize this is going to be a VERY long day. Allyson got 1st place out of 7 girls, yeah Ally!!

Emily competes at 945a on Double-mini trampoline and finally gets called for warm ups at 1115a and gets 2nd out of 7 girls. Allyson got 2nd on Trampoline out of 7 girls and Emily tied for 4th place out of 7 girls. Emily was scheduled to compete Tumbling at 145p and didn't get called for warm ups until 330p - if you have added these hours up, it has been a VERY, VERY long damn day. I guess it was worth the wait because Emily got 1st place (out of 2 girls) by doing round off 4 back hand springs and round off 7 back hand springs!! I would like to point out that this is the first time Emily has done this pass, let alone competed at it!! I'm so proud. Both girls had a fantastic day in the gym even if we were there for a total of 8.5 hours! That's like a work day dude!!

For the perfect end to a pretty good day, we walked out to get into the car and there was snow on the ground, perfect!!

We ended this very fantastically long A$$ day with dinner at the Richardson's, football and home in bed by 11p.

p/s I should point out here that JY did show up to cheer on his girls at 9a and b'd the WHOLE time that he could have slept in a little longer. What-the-F-ever JY!!
