It was a good run...

So, visitation for Grandma was on Tuesday night. Of course this was different than Grandpa's visitation - Julie, Tana and I entertained Grandma that night - I didn't have anyone to entertain, just to think about what was going on around me. Not to mention watch everything going on around me...

My family was divided the whole night, it's a picture of what's to come I'm sure.

The funeral was ok, it's hard to have feelings for a funeral when the officiant didn't even know Grandma, didn't know how she could pop a loose tooth out of your mouth before you even knew it, didn't know that she was left handed but taught herself to be right handed so she wouldn't stand out as a child, didn't know that she carried 3 different lipsticks with her at all times and could put it on without a mirror, didn't know that her grandchildren loved the heck out of her and she knew it and didn't know that to get a piece of candy or gum in her house you had to pay with a kiss (which we gladly gave). It made this whole thing less real. The real came when I (along with 5 of my male cousins) carried her casket to the awaiting car and then out of the car to the grave side.

They are now all together - Great Grandma Fern, Grandad Rockey, Grandma and Grandpa. Dang, I'm gonna miss her.
